The presentation radiograph shows a moderately thick-walled left lower lobe cavity with poorly defined margins, entirely new since the comparison chest radiograph one month previously. Lung volumes appear normal, with no features to suggest fibrotic lung disease, and no evidence of cystic lung disease is seen.
